The Importance of Maintaining a Healthy Weight

Being overweight not only looks unsightly and makes you feel less attractive it also poses a far greater risk, a risk to your health. Therefore, there are many reasons why it is important that you maintain a healthy weight by eating well-balanced meals and getting regular exercise. Being over weight has been linked with many conditions affecting not only our physical health but also our mental health, studies have shown that those people who are overweight and dont get regular exercise are more at risk of developing depression than those that exercise on a regular basis and eat a well balanced and varied diet. Experts have agreed that the more overweight a person is then the more likely they are to suffer severe health problems, however once the person takes steps to start losing weight and changes their lifestyle, then the percentage starts to drop. If you are overweight then even just by losing 10 or 20 pounds you can begin to reduce the increased associated risks to your health and make improvements. You should defiantly consider losing weight if you are overweight and any of the following conditions apply to you.

If there is a history in your family of certain chronic diseases people who have relatives with heart conditions or diabetes have been known to develop these conditions if they are overweight.

There are any pre-existing medical conditions high blood pressure, high cholesterol and levels of high sugar are all signs of illness due to being overweight.

Having an apple shape if you carry more weight around your stomach then you are at a higher risk of developing diabetes, some forms of cancer or developing heart problems.

Illness associated with being overweight

  • Problems with the gallbladder and especially gallstones
  • High blood pressure
  • Developing certain types of cancer
  • Developing diabetes
  • Developing gout
  • Developing problems with the breathing such as sleep apnea, which causes a person to pause when breathing while asleep
  • Chest problems such as asthma or bronchitis
Gallbladder problems

Although it is not clear why, being overweight can have an affect on the gallbladder, gallstones are a very common problem in someone who is overweight and causes severe problems with those who are obese.

Heart disease

If you are overweight you are twice as likely to suffer from high blood pressure that is the major cause of and a big risk factor in heart disease and strokes. Being overweight can lead to a condition known as angina, angina is felt as pain in the chest caused by a decrease in oxygen to the heart. If you are severely overweight or obese then this has been linked to causing sudden death without any warning signs from a stroke.

Diabetes

Being overweight has been linked to type 2 diabetes and is a known contributor to health death, heart disease and blindness; people who are overweight are twice as likely to suffer from type 2 diabetes as those people who are of normal weight.

Weight Loss Guides - Why You Shouldn't Believe Everything You Read

One of the reasons many people have trouble losing weight is because they are given incorrect information. It's all around us. In fact, let me show you an example. I was reading a magazine once which said something like the following:

"For me to become slimmer, I need to use light weights and lift 10-15 reps".

This is another of the common faulty myths associated with fat loss training. This theory robs well intended gym goers like a bandit in the night for a few reasons.

1-Volume is too high and intensity is too low. We can presume that we already are doing more aerobic activity in addition to restricting calories using light weight and higher reps is asking to lose important muscle. While dieting we need to give our body any reason possible to hold onto the good muscle mass that we have. We can not maintain or even stimulate new growth by using predominately light weight.

2- Adaptation. Progressive change is the basement that our training efforts are built on. Results are typically measured in either increased reps or weight used. How were you training before you decided to lose weight? Probably with 10-15 reps correct? Our goal has since changed so our training needs to as well. We can alter our efforts by using new exercises but the quickest road to the results in through both exercise and rep range changes.

3- Less muscle recruited. By staying within the same rep ranges we actually use less muscle. A change in muscle is dictated by the type of muscle fiber recruited. Using higher repetitions will cause us to preferably recruit our smaller and slower muscle fibers.

Results come quicker no matter your goal when you recruit both muscle fibers types. By alternating lifting session between higher and lower rep ranges we can achieve fat loss quicker than imagined.

SlenderTone - A Good Way To Lose Weight Fast?

SlenderTone is made popular for it's unique way to lose weight and tone abs as well as other muscles on your body such as: arms, thighs and anywhere that it can be wrapped. The best way to describe the sensation of it is that it's an unusual but pleasant non-painful feeling. You will feel a mild pulsing sensation, followed by some tightening of the abdominal muscles. The muscles should contract smoothly, hold themselves in a tensed position for a few seconds and gently relax again. So the muscles are being worked out without you having to actually do anything. The belt is doing it all for you.

Male and Female Options

SlenderTone comes in different options: Male and female. The difference between the two is mainly the shape and length designed specifically for the two different body shapes of the male and female. The performance of these produce the same results. The only difference is what I stated above - Shape and length.

So Does it Work?

My wife and I tested this out for 8 weeks. Here's the details on the outcome:

SlenderTone's lab results

  • 1.4 inch (3.5cm) average waist reduction
  • 49% increase in abdominal strength
  • 72% increase in sit-up performance
  • 100% of subjects reported firmer and flatter abdomens

My Results

  • 1.7 waist reduction
  • 50% andominal strength increase
  • 80% increase in sit-up performance
  • Yes I reported firmer and flatter abs

My wife's results came out just under the average. so clearly I did better. But using this product longer than eight weeks kept shedding inches from the waist and arms. So it's easy to see that the SlenderTone did in fact work, and it worked well. My recommendation: Try it out here (there's also many other weight loss product reviews), it's gauranteed to work in my opinion. Males tend to lose weight easier than women but it works just as well for both sexes.

Discover How to Burn Fat - Build Muscle and Get Six Pack Abs at the Same Time

There is a question everybody at the gym wants to get the answer for.

How to burn fat, build muscle, and get six pack abs? The truth is... I can show you how to get all of this done in the exact same time. When you finish reading this article, you will discover how to get rid of stubborn fat, get lean muscles for a beach body, and six pack abs that turn heads.

Before you get over excited, I want to get certain things in to your head. There is no miracle exercise, machine or pill that can give you the results I claim you can get by reading the information below.

The steps are basic and has been hidden from innocent people like you for too long by the health and fitness industry just so they can make big bucks by selling every single machine or pill that comes in to their head.

It is a matter of common sense. If you want to burn fat, build muscle and get six pack abs all at the exact same time, there are certain steps you need to follow, and no questions asked.

#1 - Build Lean Muscle with Multi Joint Exercises

Exercise! It is an important factor for building muscle. Most people consider muscle building exercises to be the ones that give you a pump. Those would be; Bicep Curls, Tricep Kickbacks, DB Flyes etc...

Well, they give you a pump but don't burn fat! How big do you think your biceps really are? Do they carry as much fast as your back or your legs? Common sense approach is to burn fat from major muscle groups like your chest, back, legs. What kind of exercises?

Pushups - Works your back, arms, abs, chest, shoulders etc...

Squats - Works your Legs, gluts, hamstrings, abs, lower back etc...

You get the picture. When you work your major muscles, you work your small muscles as well. You can use the excess time to do more multi joint exercises to burn even more fat. These exercises are great for building muscle and burning fat at the same time.

#2 - Diet and Nutrition

When it comes to diet, you need to be extremely cautious. Your diet is the most important factor that holds everything together. You screw up your diet, and no matter how intense you workout, the results won't be pleasing enough.

If you want to burn fat and build muscle at the same time, you need to follow a proper diet and nutrition routine. It is very easy once you get the hang of it.

All you got to do is eat 5-6 short meals every 3-4 hours a day with fiber and lean protein in every meal. You skip a meal and you will trigger your body to store more fat. You follow the plan I suggest and you will burn fat 24 hrs a day, even while you sleep!

I have mentioned the two most important factors that will help you burn fat and build muscle at the same time. You now ask how to get six pack abs.

There is a very simple answer for this. DO NOTHING except for what I suggested above. When you burn fat and build muscle, your total body fat starts to drop. When this happens, you will automatically understand what I mean.

You already have a six pack hiding way beneath all that thick layer of fat. All you need to do is put your effort on burning the fat off your body with lean muscle. The more muscle you build, the more fat you burn. When you follow the diet I suggested above, you burn more fat again. You keep following as planned, and you will see a six pack in no time.

If you are looking for a complete step by step routine that will show you how to burn fat, build muscle, and get six pack abs without missing out on any important factors, read the Turbulence Training Review at my site below;

5 of the Best Weight Loss Tips for Long-Term Success

If you've decided that you need to lose weight, it is important to devise a plan that you will follow long-term. Long-term weight loss should not be a plan that you follow a few months, then you go back to eating the same way that got you overweight in the first place! It is important to your long-term success that you make permanent lifestyle changes in both your diet and daily exercise. Here are 5 of the best weight loss tips to help you achieve your goals:

1. Always eat breakfast.

How many times did your hear your mother say this is the most important meal of the day? She was right! By ensuring that you have a balanced and nutritious breakfast each morning you are helping to give your metabolism a kick start. Not only will you no longer be tempted by sugary snacks half way through the morning but the calories you consume will burn off a lot faster.

2. Don't skip meals.

As long as you eat your meals at regular intervals then your metabolism will improve even more. On top of that, you won't be as tempted to eat unhealthy snacks because you are hungry. Many health professionals now recommend eating 5-6 smaller meals a day. Eating every couple of hours will keep you from ever feeling hungry, will aid your digestion, and will keep your metabolism working at top speed.

3. Take your time.

Actually sit down for your meals, take your time, and savor each mouthful. Unlike our ancestors, most people in the Western world are eating far too much and eating it far too quickly. By slowing down the rate at which you eat your food you will give your body time to signal you that it is full. You will find that this often happens with smaller portions if you take the time to eat slowly and chew thoroughly.

4. Take control of your portion sizes.

It is important that with any meal the amount of food on your plate should be no larger than your two fists. So if you go out to a restaurant for a meal either order smaller portions, if possible, or take half your food home for another meal. Restaurants are notorious for serving portion sizes that are much too large for the average adult!

5. Get Active.

A great way of getting active without having to go to the gym each day is just by changing your daily routine. For example, if you go to work on the bus then get off a couple of stops earlier and walk the rest of the way. If you work in an office that has elevators, then why not use the stairs a few times a day? It is fairly simple to add more walking to your life, and the benefits are many.

These ideas are very simple, but they are some of the best weight loss tips you'll find. And you'll find them even easier to implement!

How To Lose Fat Fast

People who want to lose weight usually look for diets that will tell them how to lose fat fast, usually the fastest diet plan that will ensure losing double digit number of pounds in less than a week. While some of those diets will get you the results you want, you'll find that they'll have undesirable long-term effects. Depriving yourself of entire food groups is guaranteed to help break down your body's general sense of well being.

That said, we do hear you about how slow these "healthy" diets are. But there are way to lose a lot of weight and stay healthy at the same time. The healthiest way to lose fat fast is to cut out the fat from your diet, substituting instead with lean protein and healthy carbohydrates. That's both visible fat, the kind you see attached to meat and other not-so-obvious fatty substances such as chicken skin, and invisible fat, such as milk, cream, and eggs.

So, what do you eat instead? Yes, it's very difficult not to eat crunchy fried chicken skin, or lick the cream that tops many delicious desserts, but it makes more sense than cutting out all the carbohydrates from your diet and denying yourself important fuel for daily energy. You'll still be able to get the body's requirement of fat from the food that you can eat, so it's definitely a healthy option.

The next step is knowing what food to eat, now that you know how to lose fat from your diet, or at least lessen it considerably. Again, protein and carbohydrates are the important food groups you must pay attention to. Protein will be beneficial in building muscle tone, so that you're not just thin, you're lean. Research has shown that people with protein in their diet have a significantly reduced appetite, hardly hogging down food at meal times.

To get the best results, a balanced diet of protein and carbohydrates is recommended. Mind you, stay away from high carbohydrates. Especially if you have little exercise, your daily physical exertions will just be burning minimal calories and the stored carbohydrates that you don't burn up will eventually transform into fat. But you do need carbs, especially if you're on an exercise program, and will need low carb foods, such as whole wheat grains, sugars from fruits and vegetables. Exercise is also an important consideration if you want to learn how to lose fat fast.

When you're beginning your diet, it's understandable that you may not get enough good carbs to fuel your exercise regimen, or you may be overdoing it. To ensure that you're getting the right amount of energy, supplements can enhance your diet. Please note that we said "enhance" and not "replace." Supplements can be eaten or drunk as a shake after exercising or as snacks. Ideally, you must have six small or medium meals with controlled portions each day, and supplements can only be taken at most as two of these six meals. The rest of your meals should consist of real, natural, well balanced food.

Fitness and Diet have More of a Link than We Think

There is a saying that almost every culture knows and that is You are what you eat. In regards to fitness and more importantly health, this definitely is not an understatement of fallacy.

It never ceases to amaze me how much people are willing to spend on attaining fitness either by expensive gym memberships, exercise equipments or hours upon hours of excessive workouts.

However one factor that most people seem to overlook is the necessity of an adherence to a proper diet for fitness.

I mean look at our distant cousins, the great apes. They are primarily frugivores (like us) meaning eaters of fruits and green leaves.

Just how similar are they to us? A whole lot! Heck, we share about 98% of the same DNA, but these creatures are so much stronger and have remarkable fitness, yet don't necessarily engage in concentrated exercises like we do.

Granted, they are in the wild and of course have to be much stronger than us, but none the less, It leaves one to wonder, well what if we had a much more similar diet, would we be much stronger?

These distant cousins of the human race are illustrations of just how much stronger and fit a human can be if they subsist on a natural or very similar diet (as in cooked vegetables and fruits). No one is saying that if you adhere to a strict raw diet that you'd be able to bench press even 1000 pounds, or be as strong as a chimpanzee, but the fact to be realized here is what vitality is and how tremendous it can become is closely related to what you eat.

Here are examples of the levels of fitness and vitality some people who subsists on proper diets have been able to attain:

-Stephen Arlin, author of the book Raw Power stated being capable of bench pressing 350 lbs twenty times in a workout routine. He has trained other body builders who have squatted 835 lbs, dead-lifted 760 lbs and bench-pressed 456 lbs.

-Bill Pearl won the Mr. Universe contest four times as a strict vegetarian.

Now these people are obviously body builders so of course they will be much stronger than the average person, but as far as muscular endurance and vigor, after a 10 day fast which was prepared for by two weeks of raw fruits and vegetables, Prof. Arnold Ehret, who was once diagnosed with deadly consumption and pneumonia, was able to perform 360 push ups within a few minutes and walk continuously for 56 hours (non-stop) to demonstrate his marked increase in health and to prove his theory to the British Government of the 1920s.

His writings went on become the acclaimed MUCUS-LESS DIET HEALING SYSTEM, which is one of the most thorough books on Naturopathy and health ever to be published.

It must be realized that the human body before all other physiological considerations is an air-gas engine constructed in its entirety-with the exception of the bones-from a rubber like, very elastic, spongy material, called flesh and tissues.

For this mechanism to work most efficiently, obstructions in these tissues must FIRST be eliminated via methods which may involve an exclusive use or a combination of proper diet and exercise.

All these factors considered, it is safe to say that the number one step in restoring fitness, agility and health to any and everyone will be making a change in the diet.

Heres where you can start, why not grab a fruit today, rediscover its potency and make that the bulk of your diet for fitness.

Your body will be grateful you did.

Lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks:

If you want to lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks, your best bet is to use a detox diet. This is a liquid diet which is based on fruit juice. A detox diet flushes your body of useless, undigested deposits of fat, and also induces weight loss because it's a low calorie diet. You can definitely lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks with that kind of diet. However, don't use this diet for over 2-3 weeks because it loses it's effectiveness. The Most Under-Rated Aspect of Weight Loss

If I were asked, "what is the most difficult thing many people find to do when they start a weight-loss program?", I would have to say right near the top of the list is this - they don't drink enough water!

Few people realize at first just how essential water is to the success of their weight-loss program. In fact, the essential place of water in our diet extends to everyone - whether they want to lose weight, gain weight or stay the same weight! We all know we can't live without water, but just why is it so important? Well there are many reasons. Read on and discover why water can help your loss weight and why it is your essential life-force.

Apart from 60-70% of your body being composed of water, water has an extensive range of functions essential to life.

. Assists digestion, absorption and assimilation of food. If you don't drink enough water you can't get the full benefit of nutrients in the food you eat.

. Assists excretion of waste from bowel and kidneys. If you don't drink enough water you get constipated and put your kidneys under stress.

. Regulates body temperature. If you don't drink enough water you compromise the evaporation process you skin uses to keep you cool.

. Your blood is 92% water. This is your body's transport system distributing nutrients around the body.

. Body secretions and digestive juices are almost entirely water.

Why should you drink water when you want to lose weight?

Water is a natural appetite suppressant. Do NOT underestimate the power of this statement. Lack of water can lead to over eating. You brain does not differentiate between hunger and thirst. So, when you think you are feeling hungry, your body may in fact be signaling to you that you are thirsty! If you are not consuming enough water each day and you feel hunger pains, chances are, your body really is crying out for water. In many instances people will find what they thought were hunger pangs were in fact, satisfied by water. Try it! You have nothing to lose, except some weight.

How do you know whether you are drinking enough water each day? Well the answer is not difficult. The average person needs around 6-8 large glasses every day.

Well then, how should you drink the 6-8 glasses per day? The aim is to drink water consistently. If you drink too much all at once or too fast, it will simply pass through you, with little or no benefit to your body.

If you are someone who enjoys the 'taste' of water, then perhaps you could fill a 1 litre empty soft drink container with water the drink through it twice during the day. Room temperature or cold water, even warm as some people like - whatever you prefer. Place it on the desk at work in front of you as a constant reminder to sip continuously throughout the day.

Other people find they need a water 'diet' to help them keep on track. So for you, here is a program easily followed to ensure you are well hydrated every single day.

1. When you wake up you will often be thirsty because your body loses water while you are sleeping through breathing and perspiration. Drink a large glass of water with a slice of lemon for zing.

2. Drink another glass of water with breakfast or a cup of herbal tea before setting off the day.

3. Mid morning - snack on a piece of juicy fruit such as orange, watermelon, cantaloupe, honey dew. Have a glass of water and perhaps try a dash of herbal aloe juice which is wonderfully soothing to the digestive system.

4. Lunch - think of soup or have a glass of water before your meal, or perhaps a herbal tea.

5. Mid afternoon - While you are preparing your evening meal, drink a glass of water and snack on some crunchy fresh vegetables.

6. Evening - Sip a glass of water before your meal with a dash of your favourite fruit juice for flavour.

7. After dinner - before bedtime drink your final glass of water and sleep well!

A few changes will happen when you start out with your water program. Obviously you may find that you need to 'spend a penny' more often. Why? Because you body isn't used to being well hydrated.

There is absolutely is no doubt about it. When you start drinking enough water regularly, there are great benefits. You may notice your skin significantly improve and even tired muscles will thank you. Many people find their energy is increased and constipation and headaches are reduced, as well as hunger pains.

Now here's the really exciting partmany people notice a reduction in weight and centimetres, as their body's water store become redundant and so decrease. If your diet has been one that did not provide you with adequate water, your body will have developed a pattern of storing water. It's part of the body's in-built survival mechanism - to store up the essential nutrients in short supplyjust in case they aren't available in the future. So if you don't drink enough water, you are 'conditioning' your body to store water. And water is bulk and unwanted centimetres.

It's so simple...drink water! 6-8 large glasses a day.

How do you know if you are not getting enough water each day? This is a really important question because so many of us have deprived ourselves of water for years that we have become accustomed to doing without the full amount of water our body requires and we don't recognise the symptoms of thirst.

1. The most common symptom is headaches. A major function of water is to flush toxins from the body. Your brain is 75% water, so even being slightly dehydrated can cause headaches.

2. Poor concentration/fatigue. If you body can't get rid of the toxins it will struggle and you will feel less energetic as your body diverts energy to deal with the toxins.

3. Constipation. Your body will divert water to more essential functions and as a result your stools will be harder and more difficult to expel.

4. Reduced urine output or dark urine. Did you know that up to 200 litres of water is passed through your kidneys daily? Without a fresh supply of water for the kidneys to filter waste products out of the blood, your urine will become darker.

5. Furry tongue or bad breath. If you don't have enough water passing through the mouth to wash away food particles, bacteria can proliferate and result in that 'furry' feeling or bad breath.

6. Skin. Your skin should feel elastic. When you pinch the skin on the back of your hand it should snap back instantly.

Final thoughts. Caffeinated drinks cause the body to lose water. They are what's known as diuretics as they cause your body to dehydrate. You will do your body an enormous favour by cutting back. For every cup of coffee you drink you will need to drink another TWO glasses of water to counter the diuretic effect. Explore the world of herbal teas instead, you may be pleasantly surprised!

Three Exercise You Can Do At Home To Help Lose Weight Without Realising Your Exercising!

Many people dont like to go to the gym. They dont like to go for a run, a bike ride, a swim. They dont like to think theyre exercising because they think its too much like hard work. Are you one of those people?

There are exercises you can do at home that are great for burning calories and the best thing is, you wont have a clue that youre doing it.

The first thing you should do is get rid of your TV remote control. Lock it up for a while. You wont need it. Instead of using the remote control, you are going to physically get up and walk over to the TV to change the channel. This might sound stupid, but think about it. How many times do you change the channel every day? How much walking could you do if you manually changed the channel? Addiction free weight loss

As I have just mentioned, weight loss hypnosis is free of side effects. This is because weight loss hypnosis is natural and is a pretty advanced method in weight loss. Most importantly, weight loss is 100% free from any kinds of chemicals existed in this world so it basically harmless to anyone using it.

The reason why most people fail to have their weight loss is because their will and subconscious mind are not working hand in hand. Your will comes from your conscious mind and if your conscious mind is not in collaboration with your unconscious mind, your efforts will go to waste. Thus, hypnosis comes into picture to put your subconscious mind working together with your conscious mind. Hypnosis helps the obese person to make suitable health food choices with resistance to choose wrong foods. Hypnosis removes the dieting guilt. This guilt only adds on your weight.

During the process of weight loss hypnosis, you feel excellent about yourself and feel less fear about the weight lose speed. Don't think that this hypnotic process is about dieting. It would change your thinking about yourself, re-aligning your beliefs and drives deeper so you are not trying or fighting to resist these bad thoughts about food.

Although there are controversies swirling around hypnosis, some of the psychologists suggested that this technique could help obese people to focus new healthy dietary patterns and maintain them.

Hypnotic methods

Hypnotists administer the method of hypnosis from simple relaxation to formal inductions. In hypnosis one may achieve heightened concentration, suggestibility and deep relaxation. Some of the individuals are capable of achieving this state more readily than others owing to their interest in learning the hypnosis.

You should be aware that hypnosis cannot magically reduce your weight as most of the Internet advertisers claim. Reprogramming people's mind is not an easy task as the world web advertisers are projecting it. It requires minimum eight-week treatment sessions and twelve weeks of practicing self-hypnosis. This may help you to reduce at least 20 pounds.

To further facilitate your progress of weight loss, you need to attend behavioral weight management program in addition to your weight loss hypnosis.

The reason why hypnosis works so well for so many people is because hypnosis brings out the potential inside you and unleashes it. We have tremendous power within us, it's just that we do not have the right tool and method to fully bring it out. So, start changing your life now with hypnosis and feel changes now.

Psst, Want to Burn Fat Fast?

Hey you. Yeah you. Do you want to burn fat fast? I bet you've like to do it without having to exercise or having to change your diet. Well let me let you in on a well kept secret. Are you ready?

It ain't gonna happen. You can hope all you want, but unless you change what you're doing that got you over weight to begin with, you'll be "wishing on a star".

Why am I being so harsh? Actually, I prefer to call it tough love. Whatever you decide to call it, you need to realize that to lose those pounds, it's all up to you to make the necessary changes in your life.

But you say it's so hard!

I'm not going to tell you that it's easy to break old habits and start new ones. If it were easy, there wouldn't be a billion dollar industry built around just weight loss. That figure alone should suggest to you that something is afoot. (What can I say? I like Sherlock Holmes.)

What I am going to suggest to you is that you stop taking losing weight so seriously. I'm sure that it's a safe bet that if you look back at most of the changes you made in your life, you'll see that you didn't make a big deal out of them.

The change could have been something as simple as choosing another route to go to work or maybe changing your brand of toothpaste. Nothing life changing about those decisions. And even though the benefits from losing that extra weight may be life changing, the decision to make the change doesn't have to be.

Truth be told, everything in life is simple. It's when we try to live life that we make it hard.

So what should you do about trying to lose weight? The answer to that is simple. Simply keep it simple. The harder you try, the harder it becomes. When you stop stressing over every little aspect of losing weight you are going to find that something marvelous starts to happen.

Bit by bit, you'll actually find yourself doing the things necessary for you to lose weight. You may start out by just drinking more water. You may decide to go for a long walk. You may decide to go with a salad instead of a burger for lunch. You may even find yourself following that diet and exercise plan you laid out your hard earned cash for.

Whenever it happens, it is going to be because the fate of the world no longer rest on you following every minute aspect of your weight loss plan. Just like a seed sprouting from the soil, you'll gradually grow into doing all the things that stressed you out before. And when that happens, you'll wonder what the whole fuss was about anyway.

Weight Loss Habits, Follow Them and Smile

It is very obvious at this point that most people regard weight loss as something related to their personal suffering, it is as if every single weight loss program required your sacrifice in order to actually work. If you are thinking about issues like starvation, desertion, doubt and deprivation, then you know exactly what I'm talking about; but weight loss should not be that way for anyone.

If you go to a personal trainer in order to change your weight loss habits, then he will tell you a few basic things: no more eating, exercising every day, wake up at 6 am and go to bed at 10, change the way you walk, the way you talk, the way you think, and overall they want to change your very self. Now, do you really think that weight loss is all about being a whole different person? Well, it's not! Weight loss is a procedure that people follow in order to eliminate a few excessive pounds out of their bodies, however, by no means should you become another person, and you should not follow something that makes you feel uncomfortable.

In order to change your weight loss habits you will need to start on your head, get rid of that concept you may have about having to become another person in order to lose some weight, get rid of that idea that your brain holds so tightly about having to suffer in order to be a slender individual, and finally, get rid of your self image of being tortured just to follow your weight loss procedures.

The thing is that, weight loss can actually be a very rewarding process, not only in terms of the results it provides, but mostly in the procedure itself. Following a weight loss procedure can actually be very exciting, you can perform the activities that you enjoy the most, have fun while doing them and at the same time, lose a few extra pounds. You can also begin to enjoy the healthier foods that you ingest every day; once you get over the idea that junk food is the bomb, you will get to understand that there are plenty of different flavors out there just waiting to be discovered and enjoyed.

Always keep in mind that your weight loss habits should not make you feel depressed, but the complete opposite; your weight loss habits should be some of the things that provoke a smile to appear on your face.

An Outline of Jessica Biel's Workout

Jessica Biel probably has the best body in Hollywood. Seriously, she is a great role model for women who want to get in shape. Jason Walsh, her personal trainer recently revealed to People Magazine the workout that gives her slim thighs, firm butt, and generally a rocking body!

Were you lucky enough to see Jessica Biel in the movie Blade 3? If you did, you may have seen fitness perfection. Seriously...Jessica looked amazing in that movie. As a side note, Ryan Reynolds got in amazing shape as well. The great thing about Jessica Biel is that she manages to stay in amazing shape without losing her femininity.

So here is a summary of Jessica Biel's Workout (along with my comments)

1) Cardio...for cardio she does interval training. After jogging for 1/2 a mile to warm up, she does a total of 6 sprints with short rests in between. She sprints for two sets of 200 meter sprints, two sets of 150 meter sprints, and two sets of 100 meter sprints.

My Comments: This is the best form of cardio to really burn stubborn body fat quickly. High Intensity Interval Training has been shown to burn significantly more body fat than steady state aerobics.

2) Plyometrics..."These hurt," says Walsh of stair jumping. "Even athletes hate them. After Jessica did these the first time, she would've punched me if she had the energy." How-to: Jump from the bottom step of a flight of at least 20 stairs to the third. Keep going, skipping a stair each jump.

My Comments: Her trainer, Jason Walsh, understands that plyometrics tone the body in ways that can't be duplicated in the gym. It makes sense that he would recommend these, because Jessica will get better muscle tone as a result. This is one of the reasons why I believe that athletes have better looking bodies than people who only workout in the gym.

3) Weight Training..."We tend to use lighter weights and do more reps," he says. "We keep moving, so it becomes a cardio workout too."

My Comments: This is what Craig Ballantyne, who wrote an excellent book called Turbulence Training, recommends. You can basically burn fat like crazy if you do your weight training in a very specific manner.

4) For the Abs..."Hanging leg raises don't build a six-pack, but they flatten," says Walsh. "Jessica hates them, but she powers through!" They also do the Russian Twist. Sit down and lean back slightly. Hold a 5-lb. medicine ball and twist from side to side, 15 twists per side, three reps.

My Comments: I don't agree with this approach to developing the abs. The problem with hanging leg raises is that they shorten the hip flexors which can dramatically increase your chances for injuries. I am a big believer in a great exercise called "planks". Not only are they effective...they help protect your back from injury as well.

Summary...Jessica Biel's Workout is very similar to a high level athlete. It makes sense that she would have a better looking body than most other actresses in Hollywood...she is training at a higher level. Her approach is intense interval workouts, which have proven time and time again to burn more body fat than "slow and steady" types of workouts. No wonder why she looks so good!

Ab Workouts Slow Fat Loss

Not only are most traditional ab workouts a waste of time, but they also slow your fat loss efforts. Each workout you spend crunching takes time away from more effective fat loss methods - such as interval training.

That's right, the common man's (and woman's) ab workout taken from Shape magazine or Muscle'n'Fitness often hurts their fat loss program more than it helps it.

Remember - I'm in the business of getting you the most fat loss in the least amount of exercise time...so you have little room in your program for traditional ab crunches (with the exception of using basic ab exercises for beginners who need to learn to use their ab muscles after a lifetime of inactivity).

Instead, I focus on exercises that build a 6-pack AND burn a lot of calories at the same time. That's why I'm a big fan of making EVERY exercise an ab exercise (by bracing the abs in every movement), as well as using total body ab exercises (such as Mountain Climbers, the Spiderman Lunge/Climb, and the Stability Ball Jackknife).

These exercises use far more muscle mass than a traditional crunch. In fact, some of the total body ab exercises are "interval-like" in nature, helping to put more metabolic turbulence on the body, and as you know, that's what burns calories during AND after the workout.

Now of course you know that you can't spot reduce the fat on your body - so doing an endless number of crunches not only does little for you in terms of losing fat, it also wastes your time in your quest for a 6-pack.

Here are a couple of strategies to maximize your workout time when your goal is to get lean, and get down to a low-enough body fat percentage to see your abs in as little workout time as possible:

(If you've got 2 hours a day to workout, by all means, do whatever your heart desires...but I don't think many of us that live in the real world have that kind of time.)

A) First, simply cut back on your ab training - If your goal is to simply lose fat, gain a little muscle, and just look as good possible, then you can't spend 30 minutes on abs everyday. You can build your 6-pack by doing less than 30 minutes of ab exercise per week.

I'm convinced that no one (not even a fitness model or pro bodybuilder) needs more than 30 minutes of ab training per week.

In fact, at the photoshoots I supervise for the fitness magazines, I get to talk to a lot of fitness models and what they tell me about their training routines might shock you. Most of them don't train nearly as frequently as you or I might think.

Instead, they've worked hard over the years with the basic lifts to build their body, and now many of them simply use nutrition and maintenance workouts to keep their abs showing.

B) Second, replace your crunches with the total body ab exercises I mentioned earlier. Also, if you have access to a cable machine, you can do weighted ab exercises such as kneeling cable crunches.

C) And finally, if you are doing intervals for fat loss as I recommend, you can use the following approach to increase the difficulty of your ab and interval training. However, this is an advanced method only.

During your interval workout, perform an ab exercise during your active recovery period. For example, if you are doing running intervals on a treadmill...

Run for 60 seconds at your work interval speed. Immediately stop the treadmill, get off, and go into a set of 20 Mountain Climbers. Climb back on the treadmill and start it up for your next interval. Repeat for 3-6 intervals.

You can also use basic spinal stabilization "ab exercises" such as the plank, side plank, or advanced plank versions (i.e. plank with your arms on the ball) to train your spinal stabilization while under heavy breathing stress. I learned this technique from Dr. Stuart McGill.

Remember: Always train safe, with good form, and be conservative. Don't try to be a hero in the gym, but you should safely challenge yourself in each workout.

His trademarked Turbulence Training fat loss workouts have been featured multiple times in Mens Fitness and Maximum Fitness magazines, and have helped thousands of men and women around the world lose fat, gain muscle, and get lean in less than 45 minutes three times per week. But be sure to incorporate the expert tips and tricks into your overall exercise plan to avoid shoulder injuries that will set your best laid plans back...

Improper weightlifting techniques and over training always increase your chances of injuring your shoulders or back. So do the routines correctly or if you aren't sure how, talk to your personal trainer...

The workout routines that you are doing today will target your entire upper body. Your chest -- your shoulders -- and your muscles will be exhausted. But the level of exhaustion will be just right -- and you avoid injuries!

We will be doing the basic chest workouts but throw in a few twists to make it more interesting. And since you will be training in the super-chest-workout mode -- you get in and out of the gym in the least time possible.

I included a substitution for women for one Super-set if you are worried about adding too much mass to your chest. And everyone can definitely modify this workout plan to fit their physical goals.

Bodybuilder Workout Routines to Build Your Chest

Chest Super-set 1:

(Rest 1 minute between each exercise and 1.5 minutes before repeating the Super-set)

* A-1: Dumbbell flat chest press -- four sets of six reps

* A-2: Barbell row -- four sets of eight reps

Chest Super-set 2:

(don't rest between exercises and rest 1 minute before repeating the Super-set)

* B-1: Dumbbell incline press -- three sets of 8 reps

* B-2: Dumbbell chest fly -- three sets of ten reps

Chest Super-set 3:

(don't rest between exercises and rest 1 minute before repeating the Super-set)

* C-1: Medium Grip Bench Press -- three sets of ten reps

* C-2: Dumbbell external rotation -- three sets of ten reps

Exercise substitution for women:

Do only two sets of each of the exercises above.

A-1: do the # of maximum push-ups that you can do instead of using Dumbbell flat chest press

Exercise descriptions:

Dumbbell flat chess press:

Lie on the bench. Hold the Dumbbells above your chest with your palms facing your feet. Lower the Dumbbells to the chest level and then press the Dumbbells up above the chest. Easy and steady.

Barbell Row:

Stand up with your torso bent and parallel to the floor. But don't round your lower back. Keep that back straight. Keep knees slightly bent. Contract your abs to support your back. Grab the barbell and row it to your abdomen -- bringing your shoulders blades together. Slowly lower the barbells and then repeat.

Dumbbell Incline Press:

Lie on your back on the forty-five degree bench. Hold the Dumbbells above your chest with your palms facing your feet. Now, lower the Dumbbells to your chest level. And then press the Dumbbells straight up above the chest. Repeat.

Dumbbell Fly:

Stay on the forty-five degree bench but this time hold the Dumbbells above your chest but your palms will be facing each other. The key thing to remember is to keep your elbows slightly bent at all times to avoid overextending them. Now, lower your arms until they are to your sides BUT don't go below the shoulder level! Now use your chest muscles to help your arms push up the Dumbbells to the starting postion. Be in control the whole time -- otherwise you are probably using too much

weight.

Medium Grip Bench Press: Lie down on a flat bench. Feet flat on the floor and upper back against the bench. Grip the bar half-way between your shoulder width and your normal bench press grip. Keep your elbows close to your sides and lower the bar straight down to your chest level. Now, slowly push the bar back straight up above your chest.

Dumbbell External Rotation:

Start with a light Dumbbell (perhaps five pounds). Sit down on the flat bench and bend your left knee. Place your left foot at the end of the bench and rest your left elbow on the top of your left knee. Hold the Dumbbell in the bottom position and slowly rotate the Dumbbell using your muscles in the rotator cuff. Rotate the Dumbbell up and back until it is in the finish position when your forearm is perpendicular to your body at the top of the movement.

This chest workout trick can be done several times a day by anyone to get an instant increase in chest size.

You can do this either when you are sitting down in your chair at the workplace or standing up in line. But you will need some space. The first thing you will do is extend your arms in front of you with your palms facing outwards. Now externally rotate your shoulders and try to use your muscles to touch both should blades together. Squeeze your muscles as hard as you can and hold that position as long as you can. You should feel a lot of tension within your muscles in your back and front.

This is a good isometric exercise to perform to get the kinks out of your body while sitting in your chair for long periods of time at work.

Good job!

How to Lose Fat in the Face

Burning fat off from just one part of the body is simply not possible. Similarly, when you gain weight, it does not accumulate in just one part of the body. When you gain weight, you'll notice that your cheeks get fatter, your faces becomes more round, and you might get that slight extra roll underneath your chin. And the only way to get rid of any unwanted fat on your face is through healthy diet and exercise.

In order to lose weight, you will need to eat less calories than you expend. And that probably entails eating a lesser amount of carbohydrates and fats than you are used to. But don't worry, it's really not that difficult to eat a healthy diet consistently and not feel hungry all the time.

You can determine how many calories you expend every day with your age and height. There are simple charts you can use that will give you the answer. Eating less than that amount will force your body to shed the pounds. Your body needs to burn energy to survive, and if you're not going to give it enough food, it's going to have to get it from somewhere. Why not let it use the fat stores on your face!

A general diet composition should consist of approximately 50% carbohydrates, 30% protein (lean meat, chicken, fish) and 20% from healthy unsaturated fats (flax seed oil, avocado, fish oil).

Along with a healthy diet, you can speed up the process of burning fat with exercise. It is certainly possible to lose weight through diet alone, but combining exercise with a healthy diet will vastly increase the rate at which you lose weight, and you'll look and feel much healthier to boot!

Try to aim for some form of exercise, whether it be aerobic or resistance training or both, 3 to 4 times a week for 30 minutes or more each day. That will you will be burning calories and raising your metabolism to optimum levels in order to burn some serious fat... even while you're at rest! Strength training will also aid your fat burning by building up your muscles -- stronger muscles require more energy, and that means more fat that needs burning.

Below are some exercises that should help you to lose fat from your face by strengthening your facial muscles. You can use a mirror to make sure you are performing them properly.

The Areas Around Your Eyes

Close your eyes and relax. Look up and then down as far as you can. Then repeat that 10 times. Next, keeping your eyes close, stretch your eyebrows up as far as you can, hold it, and count to 5. Then relax, and repeat the eyebrow stretch 5 times. Now, open your eyes, look up, and then look down (your head should remain fixed). Do that 10 times, then do the same thing by looking left and right 10 times.

The Frown

Make a frown, and try to squeeze your eyebrows down over your eyes. Next, raise your eyebrows up as far as you can with your eyes open as wide as possible. Do that 5 times. Then, lie down on your back on your bed, and hang your head off the edge. Lift your eyebrows as high as you can with your eyes open as wide as possible again. Relax, and then repeat that 10 times. Then, sit up and crunch your eyebrows down over your eyes, squeeze your nose up while trying to flare your nostrils and hold it for 10 seconds. Relax, and then repeat it 5 times!.

Stick Out Your Tongue

Stick the tip of your tongue out and suck in your cheeks. Maintain that expression for a few seconds and then relax. Next, push your lower lip on top of your upper lip and try to touch your nose (with your lower lip). While you smile as wide as possible, try and touch the tip of your nose with your tongue.

These exercises may seem silly, but they are strenuously working your face muscles. And working any muscles will burn calories and fat. Although losing weight takes time to notice results, if you stick to a plan you will achieve the look you want.

Amazing Discovery For Weight Loss and Overall Health

There are about 130 million adults in the U.S. alone who are overweight or Obese. Obesity can lead to at best poor health at the worst premature death. It's been proven to raise your risk of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, gout, and asthma.

For many poor health isn't even considered, it's just about looking good, which is OK we all want to look good if for no other reason then to raise our self esteem. The problem is that most diets just don't work or worse may be just as unhealthy as being overweight.

Diets are for the most part very restrictive, either telling you to cut out meats, or severely restrict your carbohydrate intake or maybe cut fats out of your diets. The fact is that your body needs and depends on all of these to get the proper nutrition that it needs.

It's true the types of fats and carbs you eat can make a difference in you overall health as can reducing your intake of processed and fast foods but eliminating or reducing their intake although good for your health( and I do believe you should eat as little fast food as possible) it isn't going to miraculously melt your excess fat away.

If your really determined you can try eating fewer calories than your body requires each day, and try burning off some calories with exercise, but believe me when I tell you that it won't happen overnight, in fact it will probably take months to see any real results.

That doesn't mean forget about exercising, you should get some exercise every day. Exercise is important for good health, just don't expect to see any great weight loss unless you have a personal trainer and a few hour a day to spend working out.

Diets well to eat few enough calories to make a difference means your hungry all the time plain and simple, thats why diets don't work Unless of course you have a highly skilled dietitian on staff.

So what do you do.

Well I recently stumbled across a possible answer. A lady Doctor from Arizona has blown the lid off the best kept secret to weight loss ever. Well I don't know that it's a secret as much as a discovery she made while researching the human colon and digestive system and how it relates to nutritional absorption.

All I know is that it has the whole diet food and drug industries turned upside down in an Uproar. Before going further let me tell you a little about her. Her name is Dr. Suzanne Gudakunst Of syndicated television and equally famed in the fields of:

1- Alternative Medicine and Treatment

2- Advanced Health Technologies Development

3- Corrective Dietary Implementation

4- Corrective Lifestyle Management and

5- Proper Fitness and Restorative Training & Therapy

This same women medical practitioner went on to accurately determine a definitive correlation between harmful plaque and parasitic infestations of the human bowel tract and people suffering chronic obesity - who despite intense diet and exercise appeared to be unable to lose weight.

Over the course of six years this Arizona Doctor developed a number of Natural treatments for The removal of these same harmful, even life threatening plaque and rapidly reproducing digestive parasites so that when applied to even worse-case patients suffering extreme obesity. She saw a 100% effectiveness and success rate.

She than borrowed from her research on the severely obese, and applied the same strategies on Milder cases of overweight persons only to find the same effectiveness and quality results as Described above.

So powerful is her discovery that she's been able to reverse diabetes, rid illness in people suffering from cancer (linked directly to poor diet and overweight factors), as well as eliminate an entire spectrum of serious and otherwise life-threatening diseases.

As I said, I just happened to stumble across this information and decided to give it a try, It's only Been a few of days, but I already feel more energized all day and don't even want to tell you what's coming out when I go to the toilet (don't want to gross anyone out).

10 Quick Weight Loss Tips

Eating and exercising are your partners in success when it comes to effective and quick weight loss. Dieting alone can cause a loss of muscle which not only reduces your shape, but also your ability to burn calories. When you exercise you need to eat well to support the body, as it rises up to the physical challenge.

Stick to the following quick weight loss tips and you will be able to combine healthy eating with fat burning exercise to achieve, and maintain that look you have always wanted:

  • Choose a diet that uses foods you like, and that consists of a decent variety. It should allow you to eat carbohydrates, proteins and some fats. Your body has evolved in using all these elements -- they wont harm you. The diet should let you eat 4 to 6 smaller meals a day, with snacks in between.

  • Eat low in fat, eat lots of fruits and vegetables, eat whole grains, avoid too much sugar, watch your salt intake and limit your consumption of alcohol.

  • Eat before and after exercising -- Eat at least 90 minutes before working out to fuel your body and to prevent indigestion. Eat afterwards to replace used energy.

  • Have breakfast -- Your body needs a kickstart in the morning to restart its metabolism -- don't deny it!

  • Always have nutritious snacks handy. Try to provide yourself with healthy alternatives to the wrong kinds of snacks, eat fruits, vegetable sticks, nuts, rice cakes and dried fruits.

  • Don't think of food as being "the enemy" -- When you work out regularly, you will start seeing it for what it is -- a source of energy. Ask yourself if what you are about to eat is nutritional and will give you energy. Or is it just empty calories?

  • Eat more often, but smaller portions. If you don't eat for a length of time, your metabolism will slow down.

  • If you really must be naughty and have that chocolate bar, have it after your workout. Your metabolism will be at its peak, and why not reward yourself?

  • Stay hydrated -- Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water each day. In stead of washing down a glass at a time, have a bottle of water handy and sip on it during the day.

  • Power snack before an upcoming meeting, or physical pursuit -- Stock up from the local health store with rice cakes, oats, rusks, sunflower bars, nuts and if you have a sweet tooth like me, yoghurt and honey!

Some of these may seem obvious, but we all need to be reminded sometimes of the true and healthy ways to quick weight loss -- and living an active life combined with wholesome nutrition.
